Style of Weekly Shows

Post  Chris Jericho on Sun Sep 07, 2008 7:31 pm

I'd like to get a general feeling about the idea of using short style for the weekly show. I don't know if you're all familiar with short style but I've used it before on BTBs and it's worked pretty well and given us sufficent time to work on the full length PPVs and lets us have a social life. Plus, lately there has been a real lack of writers due to school/work and currently I only have a couple of possible writers and they'd only be writing a light workload. So I propose that weekly shows be done in short style which is a descriptive paragraph on each segment/match and that gives space for a second, re-cap/lower card show as we will have more time. What do you guys think? Please vote in the poll above, thanks.

Yeah, sure. I'd actually perfer that as it'd be easier to read and wouldn't take up so much time.

I wouldn't mind this at all. It'll be hard trying to find a capable writing staff that can write full shows of this fed with more members coming every day, so BTB style would be cool.

Short style works. Truth to be told, I don't like reading super long matches unless there's some sort of story behind it, so saving the long stuff for PPV is ideal for me.

Good idea Jericvho i agree. I think there should be like minimum 8 lines on each match though

If you did do it like this though, Would the really be a reason to have a writing team??

Exactly, it can just be me and EdgeHead, which is for the best seeing as there are barely any free writers who are a decent standard.

I'm perfectly fine with short style weekly shows. It'll work just as well and be a lot easier.
